Wooden Lady Master Copy

Completed during Painting I, this assignment challenged us to reimagine a famous artwork by introducing a new object or figure. I chose Thomas Cole's Distant View of Niagara Falls as my foundation. To make the scene my own, I integrated a sculpture of a woman. Although the original reference was a metal figure, I decided to render her with a wooden texture, feeling it would flow much more naturally with the piece's environment.
